As you may have noticed, there are several mistakes, typos and formatting errors in the original edition of Mate.
This shouldn’t have happened… but it did. All writers need a second pair of eyes, and, as it became painfully clear, I am no exception.
I have meanwhile redone the editing, with the help of Trudy McMahon, who was also involved in editing most of my other books. I can’t thank her enough for the invaluable help. Many typos were corrected and some annoying formatting issues were repaired. The corrected file is now online at all channels.
This doesn’t solve the problem of the early purchasers. But there is a solution.
I asked Amazon to push out the corrected version to them. I was told this can take up to four weeks… if they decide to do it at all.
You can also do it yourself any time you want. The procedure works for all books you bought from Amazon.
How to get the latest version
- Go to your Amazon Account
- In the top bar click on Your Account
- Choose Manage Your Content and Devices
- Use the Search box to find Mate
- Check the Select box
- Click on Actions, and choose Deliver or Download.
I will also contact the other vendors, but I doubt they have a procedure in place for these kind of unfortunate events.

A last thought… I was surprised, when reading the reviews, how extremely forgiving and mild most of my readers were, taking the typo tsunami in their stride. Not only am I thankful for this leniency, but it also motivates me to do my utmost to not let this happen again.
