eFestival of Words

To my surprise, and excitement, I’ve been nominated for the 2014

eFestival of Words – Best of the Independent eBook Awards

Not once, but four times.

Best Novel
The Invisible Hands – Part 2: Castling

Best Fantasy (High Fantasy/Sword and Sorcery)
The Invisible Hands – Part 3: Pawn Storm

Best Series
Dark Tales of Randamor the Recluse

Best Cover Art
The Invisible Hands – Part 3: Pawn Storm
The credit for this should go to Adrijus Guscia, for the cover design, and Agnieszka Mirosław-Kalinowska, the artist who drew the pawns.

Badge nominee Efestival of Words - 2014According to the website of the eFestival of Words these are peer-nominations. They accepted ballots from individuals active in the industry: authors, publishers, editors, artists, librarians, book reviewers, and service providers. “If your book is on the list, that means one of your peers in the industry decided your work was worthy of recognition.”

A lot of my friends and colleagues also figure on the list: Caddy Rowland, J.R. Tomlin, Joe Nobody, Deanna Chase, John L. Monk, Jen Minkman, Rhys Ford, and many others.

In the next stage each category will be narrowed down to five or seven finalists. If one of my books gets that far, I’ll be sure to let you know, because as soon as the finalists are announced on the first of July, there will be an open voting for the general public.

But even if none of my books go any further, it was an honor just to be nominated by my peers. It was totally unexpected. I don’t know any of them, but they have my sincere thanks and gratitude.
Also many thanks to organizer Julie Dawson.
